These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made with Pink Lion Events for event styling, décor hire, balloon installations and associated services. By paying a booking fee or confirming a booking, you agree to the following terms.
1. Bookings & Booking Fee
Your event date is not secured until the required booking fee has been received and your booking has been confirmed by Pink Lion Events.
The booking fee will be deducted from the final balance of your booking.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, booking fees are non-refundable where you cancel your booking. This reflects the work involved in reserving your date, planning your event and turning away other bookings for the same date.
2. Quotes
Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry, including your event date, location, venue, styling requirements and requested products. Quotes are valid for 14 days, unless otherwise stated. Your quote may change if you later alter the design, quantity of décor, venue, installation requirements, location or other elements of your booking.
Nothing is reserved until your booking fee has been paid and confirmation has been issued.
3. Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before your event, unless another payment date has been agreed in writing.
Bookings made within 14 days of an event may require payment in full at the time of booking.
Pink Lion Events reserves the right not to attend, install or provide hired items where the full balance has not been received by the agreed deadline.
4. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible.
Any booking fee already paid is normally non-refundable.
Where cancellation takes place after additional materials, personalised products or other items have been purchased specifically for your event, you may also be responsible for those costs.
Where cancellation occurs close to the event date and substantial preparation or work has already been completed, additional amounts may remain payable where permitted by law. Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you may have.
5. Changing Your Event Date
We understand that plans sometimes change.
If you need to move your event, we will do our best to transfer your booking to a new date, subject to availability.
If Pink Lion Events is unavailable on your new date, the change may be treated as a cancellation.
Any products already personalised, ordered or purchased specifically for your original event may also incur additional charges.
6. Changes to Your Styling
We want your setup to be perfect, so please tell us about any changes as early as possible.
Changes requested after your booking has been confirmed are subject to availability and may affect the final price.
Significant design changes requested close to the event cannot always be accommodated.
Final colours may vary slightly from photographs, digital mood boards or samples due to lighting, material availability, balloon batches, screen settings and the nature of individual products.
7. Bespoke & Personalised Items
Personalised signs, vinyl, printed materials and other bespoke products will be produced using the details supplied by you.
Please check all names, dates, ages, spellings and wording carefully when approving personalised designs.
Once an item has entered production, changes may not be possible and replacement items required because of information supplied incorrectly by the client may be chargeable.
8. Balloon Installations
Balloons are affected by temperature, sunlight, wind, humidity and the environment in which they are displayed.
While we use quality materials and professional installation methods, we cannot guarantee how long balloons will remain in perfect condition once installation has been completed.
Outdoor balloons are particularly vulnerable to weather, heat, direct sunlight, wind, rain and changes in temperature.
For this reason, the appearance and lifespan of outdoor balloon installations cannot be guaranteed.
9. Outdoor Events & Weather
If your installation is outdoors, you accept the additional risks associated with weather conditions.
Pink Lion Events may adapt, relocate or alter an installation where we reasonably believe weather conditions could make the original setup unsafe or unsuitable.
In severe weather, certain outdoor installations may not be possible.
Where possible, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.
10. Venue Access & Permissions
It is your responsibility to ensure Pink Lion Events has permission to install décor at your chosen venue.
Please check any restrictions relating to:

balloons;
-
wall or ceiling fixings;
-
shimmer walls and backdrops;
-
freestanding structures;
-
confetti;
-
candles;
-
electrical equipment;
-
setup and collection times; and
-
access, parking and loading.
Any venue charges, parking fees or access costs not included within your original quotation may be added to your final balance.
You must provide accurate information regarding stairs, restricted access, parking limitations or any other circumstances that could affect installation.
11. Setup Times
Pink Lion Events will agree an approximate setup window with you or your venue.
Please ensure we can access the venue at the agreed time and have sufficient uninterrupted time to complete the installation.
Delays caused by the venue, other suppliers or restricted access may affect what can reasonably be completed before your event begins.
12. Hire Items
Unless specifically stated otherwise, items such as shimmer walls, sailboards, moon hoops, stands, plinths, frames, props and other reusable décor remain the property of Pink Lion Events.
They are supplied on a hire-only basis and must not be removed from the venue without prior permission.
13. Damage, Loss & Missing Items
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of hired items from the completion of setup until collection.
You may be charged for items that are:

lost;
-
stolen;
-
deliberately damaged;
-
broken through misuse; or
-
removed from the venue.
Normal wear and tear is excluded.
Where damage occurs, charges will be based on the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
14. Children & Guest Safety
Some displays contain small components, electrical items, frames, weights, fixings or other decorative elements.
Children should be supervised around event installations.
Guests should not climb, pull, sit or lean on backdrops, sailboards, shimmer walls, balloon frames, moon hoops, plinths or other installations unless the item has specifically been designed for that purpose.
15. Collection
Where collection is included, hired items must remain accessible and in their original location until Pink Lion Events arrives.
Please do not dismantle, dispose of or allow guests to take hired items unless this has been agreed beforehand.
Balloons and other non-hire elements may sometimes be yours to keep following the event. We will confirm this where applicable.
16. Photography & Social Media
We love sharing our work.
Pink Lion Events may photograph completed installations and use those photographs on our website, portfolio, advertising and social media.
We will focus primarily on our styling and décor.
If you would prefer photographs of your event setup not to be used for marketing purposes, please let us know before your event.
We will not intentionally publish identifiable photographs of you or your guests without appropriate permission.
17. Circumstances Outside Our Control
Sometimes circumstances arise that neither you nor Pink Lion Events can reasonably control, including severe weather, venue closure, road disruption, illness, accidents, government restrictions or other exceptional events.
If something happens that prevents us from providing your booking as planned, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and work with you to find an appropriate solution.
18. Our Responsibility
Pink Lion Events will provide its services with reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, incorrect information supplied by the client, venue restrictions that were not disclosed to us, or misuse of an installation after setup has been completed.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
19. Complaints
We take pride in our work and want you to be delighted with your event.
If you believe there is a problem with your installation, please contact us as soon as possible and, wherever reasonably possible, while we are still at the venue or before the event begins, so that we have an opportunity to investigate and put things right.
20. Privacy
Any personal information you provide will be used to manage your enquiry and booking, communicate with you and deliver the services you have requested.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.
21. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing within these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
